Abstract
The activities of amantadine and ribavirin against influenza A viruses were compared against low-multiplicity (plaque inhibition) and high-multiplicity (protein synthesis inhibition) infections. Our results suggest that the predictive value of in vitro data for the clinic may be improved by consideration of tests against a high-multiplicity infection. Keywords
