Abstract
C-Alkylation of the acetoacetate anions and of sodium naphthoxide is highly favoured on alumina, while O-alkylation of the acetoacetate anion predominates in tetrahydrofuran in the presence of solid hexamethylphosphoric triamide.Keywords
