Abstract
In young male rats hypophysectomy produced a significant decrease of 17% in the DNA content of the liver nuclei as estimated by histophoto-metric measurements, and a significant decrease of about 20% in the nuclear volume. There was some evidence that sham-operation induced a transitory decrease in the DNA content of the liver nuclei. There was no change in the nuclei volume after the sham-operation.Keywords
