Abstract
Accurate configuration - interaction wavefunctions are used to calculate oscillator strengths of resonance transitions , and in S I. The interaction between the and states is represented by both correlation and spectroscopic d functions. The excellent agreement between the present calculation and measurements removed long-standing large discrepancies between theory and experiment for the transition. Keywords
