Abstract
We calculate fully correlated time-dependent two-electron wave functions for a one-dimensional analog of exposed to a short strong-field laser pulse. The onset of two-electron stabilization is identified with an inactive core electron at intensities around W/ for moderate-frequency (2 eV) laser light. Conventional one-electron stabilization is found at much higher intensities and frequencies.
