Abstract
The first compounds of 5-substituted uracils and Cu(II) were isolated by carefully adjusting the reaction conditions, including pH. The compounds reported here are bis(5-nitrouracil)copper(II)dihydrate and bis(5-iodouracil)-copper(II) hydrate, both stable under ambient conditions. They were characterized by microanalyses and instrumental methods. Keywords
