Abstract
An account of some recent developments in thermodynamics which do not appear to be widely known among physicists is given. While much of the original work is concerned with the mathematical theory, the physical ideas behind the formulation of the laws of thermodynamics for non-equilibrium systems are stressed here.Keywords
