Abstract
Low-frequency signals on a grid in a cylindrical plasma column excite both ion acoustic and guided electron plasma waves. Experiments are described which show that the latter provide the dominant asymptotic response. Measurements of phase velocities and excitation levels are consistent with theoretical predictions. Keywords
