Abstract
Forty-four alcoholics or problem drinkers hospitalized in a private psychiatric facility and their spouses rated the patient''s quantity and frequency of drinking, impairment due to drinking, type of drinking (normal or not) and severity of symptoms during three 30 day periods (before treatment and twice following discharge). The correlations between patient and spouse reports on the first 2 measures were low (0.34 to 0.65), but the less precise ratings yielded agreement ranging from 67-87.5%.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
