Abstract
In this paper two algorithms for adaptive equalization for digital communication channels are studied. In the first method, the equalizer is adjusted in a manner calculated to minimise the peak distortion at the output of the equalizer. The other algorithm minimises the mean square error. Simulation results are presented for both the algorithms. They are compared with the algorithms of their class and it is shown that they are superior. Keywords
