Abstract
Monoclonal antibodies against human placental acid sphingomyelinase have been raised. The antibodies are all of the IgG1 type, and are quite specific for the enzyme. One of the antibodies has been used to demonstrate a common antigenic identity of three polypeptides (mol. wts. 90 000, 72 000, and 48 000) of a purified sphingomyelinase preparation. Keywords
