Abstract
Significant protection to heterologous i.c. [intracerebral] challenge with the Langat flavivirus occurred after a single i.c. injection of avirulent strains of the Semliki Forest or Sindbis .alpha. virus given mice 1 day-5 wk before challenge. Some protection also occurred with an i.p. infection with these viruses. The protection afforded by the .alpha. viruses may be due to interference with the multiplication of Langat virus and may be related to the maximum level of brain infectivity reached in the .alpha. virus infection. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
