Evaluation of the Plasma Chromatograph as a Separator-Identifier

Abstract
The plasma chromatograph is evaluated as a simultaneous separation-identification device. Experience with binary mixtures of ketones (2-butanone and 2-octanone) and of alcohols (ethanol, 2-butanol, and 1-hexanol) is reviewed. The conclusion is that the ion-molecules of the components are not sufficiently simple or well separated to provide for their identification in a binary mixture.
