Abstract
The glutamine synthetase activities of cultures grown in minimal medium with the normal concentration of ammonium salts were compared with those of cultures grown under N limitation in histidine or nitrate medium. Cultures grown in a chemostat with growth limited by the availability of ammonium ions as the N source were also studied. Keywords
