Properties of excited states ofV49

Abstract
Excitation energies, spins and lifetimes have been measured in V49 employing the reaction Ti46(α, pγ)V49 at a bombarding energy of 10.6 MeV. Reaction-produced protons were detected in an annular Si counter at an average angle of 171°. Coincident γ-ray spectra were measured with a Ge(Li) detector at angles 120°θ0°. Two Ge(Li) detectors were used in a γγ coincidence experiment. The half-life of the 90.7 keV excited state, T12=0.45(3) ns, was measured by time-delayed nγ coincidences employing the reaction Ti46(p, nγ)V49 at a proton bombarding energy of 2.1 MeV.
