Abstract
The reduction of the powdered V2O5–MoO3 intermediate phase (IP) has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction. The samples were obtained by the fusion of oxides. The reduction was performed at 573 and 723 K in vacuo. The formation of MoO3 epitaxial layers and the reorientation in the adjacent IP layers were found to be the main results of low-temperature reduction of IP crystals. The reduction of MoO3 epitaxial layers was regarded as an additional result of the vacuum treatment at 723 K.Keywords
