Abstract
We generalize the concept of Schrödinger cat states to macroscopic superpositions of two pairs coherent states. We show that these states can have various nonclassical features such as the violation of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality, sub-Poissonian photon-number statistics, and squeezing. We propose schemes to generate these states. Keywords
