Abstract
The adsorption of nitrophenols on the various particle size of adsorbents prepared from glass powder were investigated by using UV spectrophotometer. The effect of the location of the substituted groups of molecule on the adsorption and elusion process were studied. The results indicate that a maximum adsorption was occured for paranitrophenol and phenol wasn't adsorbed on the adsorbent. The adsorption enthalpies were calculated.
