Abstract
A discussion of the signs and symptoms of insidious thrombosis of the abdominal aorta is given with a case report from the authors'' experience. The circulatory changes in the lower limbs (muscle wasting) were regarded as important. It was suggested that Leriche''s diagnostic criteria be extended to include claudication and trophic changes. Keywords
