Abstract
Racemization suppression by the addition of ethyl 2-hydroximino-2-cyanoacetate (IIIa) or 2-hydroximino-2-cyanoacetamide (IIIb), during coupling stages in peptide synthesis, was studied. The effectiveness of IIIa was compared with these of known additives by the help of Bodanszky’s test, which is a simple and accurate method for racemization detection. Keywords
