Abstract
An extension of the temperature range of the non-motile stage of the cold water coccolithophorid Coccolithus pelagicus (Wallich) Schiller to include negative temperatures is supported by observations in polar waters of the North Atlantic. Maximum populations during surveys in Atlantic waters of the Norwegian Sea, 1929–67, are reported. Keywords
