What Is a Resource-Room Program?

Abstract
Recent indications point to an increased nationwide interest in establishing resource-room programs for children classified as handicapped. Some special classes are being eliminated and resource rooms substituted in their place; some schools are adding resource rooms in addition to existing self-contained special classes. Court decisions, new state laws and regulations, and "following the trend" are among the reasons for this movement.
