Abstract
Electro-optic properties of new liquid crystalline polymers exhibiting a ferroelectric phase over a wide range of temperature are reported. The materials exhibit bistable electro-optic switching in the smectic C* phase and a pronounced linear electroclinic effect in the smectic A phase. The response times are very fast, of the order of 100 microseconds. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
