Abstract
A globulin fraction tentatively named globoglycoid has been separated from the albumin fraction of serum. Removal of this globulin facilitates the purification of crystalbumin. Globoglycoid is characterized by a high polysaccharide and a low trypto-phan content. It differs from other globulins but may be a constituent of the main globulin fraction. Both euglobulin and pseudoglobulin have been separated into fractions of different polysaccharide content and the available evidence is discussed in relation to the question of the existence of different serum globulins.
