Abstract
Presentation of CaseA fifty-five-year-old businessman entered the hospital because of abdominal pain and vomiting.One night six weeks before admission the patient awoke feeling nauseated and subsequently vomited several times. There was no pain. Business and family worries had been plaguing him and for several months he had felt tense and nervous. After this episode he remained in bed four days and then returned to work. Late at night, following days on which financial problems had been particularly trying, spells of painless vomiting would recur. Two weeks before admission he left work.
