Abstract
Spheroids, similar chemically and morphologically to the pollen exine, are found between the inner locular wall and the pollen grain. Submicroscopic channels run from the locular wall through the exine to the intine. They may or may not be in contact with the spheroids which are regarded as part of the connections between pollen grains and the supporting tissue. Keywords
