Abstract
Calculations of the shear elastic constant of a two-dimensional soap froth have been performed for a variety of structures. When expressed in dimensionless form, it shows little variation with structure, so that the elementary result for the hexagonal structure is a good approximation in general. It also appears to be an upper bound. Keywords
