Stenosis of pulmonary veins with ventricular septal defect. A cause of premature pulmonary hypertension in infancy.

Abstract
Two [human] infants with pulmonary hypertension resulting from unilateral pulmonary vein stenosis and ventricular septal defect are reported. Treatment implies the closure of the ventricular septal defect which contributes per se to the development of pulmonary hypertension, but relief of the pulmonary vein obstruction is not always feasible, and postoperative problems may result.
