Prelilminary Report on the Identification of 2,2 Bis(P-Chlorophenyl)-1,1,1 Trichlorethane (DDT) in the Excreta of Poisoned Rabbits

Abstract
Appreciable amts. of DDT were recovered in the ether extracts of the urine of rabbits which had received doses of 400 mg./kg by stomach tube in 5% olive oil soln. Estimates were made from organic Cl detns., and the compd. was also crystallized from 80% hot ethyl alc. Crystals of seemingly unchanged, unabsorbed DDT were also found in the feces.
