Abstract
Nesolycaena medicea sp.n. from northern Queensland is described and illustrated. The male and female genitalia are compared with the known species of Nesolycaena Waterhouse and Turner, and a key to species is provided. The genus, as currently defined, contains four species. All species are allopatric and have limited, patchy distributions in northern and eastern Australia. N. urumelia (Tindale) is recorded from Queensland for the first time.
