Abstract
The prepara-tion and spectra of native, reconstituted proto-, meso- and deutero-myo-globin are described. The rates of combination of these proteins with CO have been measured. In most cases the rate for the reconstituted protomyoglobin was lower than that for the native protein. The relative rates for reconstituted proto-, meso- and deutero-myoglobin were 1:1:3.5.Keywords
