Abstract
The commentaries have helped us to consider ways in which our various arguments may be clarified and strengthened, and they have also raised certain general problems that any adequate theory of speech percepts must address. However, we do not believe that the criticisms pose a fundamental challenge to our theoretical framework or to our interpretation of key experimental results. Keywords
