Abstract

The petroleum ether-EtOH extract of C. goveniana var. abramasiana (Cupressaceae) yielded sugiol and the new diterpene, cupresol (5.beta.-hydroxy-6-oxasugiol), for which a structure was established by spectroscopic and chemical means.
