Retromammillary Inhibition of Gortically Induced Movement

Abstract
In cats, cortically induced movement of the legs was inhibited by stimulation of the retromammillary area of the brain stem. Stimulation of the retromammillary region also inhibited a flexor reflex, but either failed to alter or, in some expts., slightly facilitated, the patellar reflex.
