Abstract
The Remaking Human Geography series critically reviews key journal articles, published in the last ten years, which have become u27citation classicsu27. Contributors to the series report on the academic debate which followed publication of the original article and assess why the article proved so influential. In this case Kong reviews an article on cultural geography by Cosgrove and Jackson (first published in Area in 1987). Peter Jackson also offers his thoughts on the u27cultural turnu27 and on future directions in this research fieldKeywords
