Abstract
The data do not support the belief that 1571F is a specific antagonist to histamine. Although the drug reduced the gastric secretion in dogs with gastric pouches (Heidenhain) following histamine stimulation, the reduction in secretion was nearly identical after pilocarpine stimulation. 1571F did not modify the gastric secretion of gastric pouch dogs stimulated with food. Pretreatment with 929F failed significantly to modify the secretion from gastric pouches in dogs injected with pilocarpine. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
