Recruiting Talent into Public School Teaching: An Analysis from One Successful Pilot Program

Abstract
The authors describe assumptions behind and strategies employed in a successful effort to recruit talented math, physics, chemistry, and other science majors into a post-baccalaureate secondary teacher education program. A university/public school/industry partnership with paid internships, and with economic and career incentives, is a central element in the approach described.
