Abstract
Study of 1.96-BeV/c interactions in the Brookhaven 20-in. liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber has yielded a measurement of the elastic-scattering cross section mb. A fit to the differential cross section versus momentum transfer of the form gives, for the interval , , and mb/sr. The total cross section obtained is 19.4±2.0 mb with single-pion production dominant.
