Abstract
MANY cases of the entity now known as gonadal dysgenesis have been reported in the literature since 1938, when Turner1 described the syndrome associated with his name. Although cases have been reported under many different names1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and with many variations and associated anomalies,9 they all have in common rudimentary gonadal anlagen without germinal cells, and female external genitalia.The purpose of this paper is to present a case of a newborn infant with gonadal dysgenesis autopsied nineteen days after birth, whose gonadal histology is unusual and in whom one umbilical artery was lacking.Case ReportThe mother of this baby . . .
