Abstract
An extension is made to a method of evaluating the effect of the pole and zero locations on the unit step response of fixed, linear systems originally devised by Mulligan.1 This extension permits a rapid determination of the points at which the step response crosses the final value line for many systems. The first such point is the rise time from zero to the final value. Keywords
