Abstract
Carboxymethylcysteine-ribonuclease A (CMC-RNAase) stimulates the rat liver microsome-catalyzed transfer of N-acetylglucosamine from UDP-N-acetylglucosamine to protein. This effect is not due to incorporation of N-acetylglucosamine into an asparagine residue of CMC-RNAase but to stimulation of the transfer of N-acetylglucosamine into endogenous acceptor.
