Abstract
The Bell Adjustment Inventory and the California Test of Personality failed to discriminate between 2 groups of 8th grade children previously divided into flexible and rigid groups by means of the Luchins water jar test. Certain Rorschach factors, postulated as measures of rigidity did differentiate between the groups. "These results tend to confirm the hypothesis that rigidity, as herein defined, is a general factor in personality organization and functioning." 25 references.
