Abstract
The antispasmogenic activity of rutamarin and arborinine isolated and identified from Ruta graveolens, was studied. Both compounds were found to have antispasmogenic effect on isolated smooth muscle organs. Their potency was comparable to that of papaverine, and the duration of the effect was as long as or possibly longer than that of papaverine. Keywords
