Gamma Globulin Levels in Serum and Saliva of Hyper- and Hypogammaglobulinemia Patients

Abstract
Comparison of serum and saliva samples from 5 hypo -, 2 hypergammaglobulinemic humans and 3 normal controls were made by 2 different systems of electrophoretic analysis. Estimation of gamma globulin was made from the density of electrophoretic bands. Total protein and gamma globulin values in whole saliva were in the same range for all 3 types of subjects, indicating that serum values were not reflected in saliva levels.
