Blood Groups, Haptoglobins and Red Cell Isoenzymes of the Jat Sikhs of Ludhiana District, Panjab, India

Abstract
Blood samples from 156 Jat Sikhs wer examined for ABO, MNS, Rh, Duffy and Kell blood groups. Serum and lysate samples were prepared and electrophoretically tested for haptoglobin, esterase D, adenylate kinase, phosphoglucomutase and the acid phosphatase systems. Comparisons were made with other populations of the Indian sub-continent and of contiguous regions.
