Abstract
SUMMARY: The name 43 E138 is proposed for a new race of wheat yellow rust identified from two samples collected in South‐east Scotland in 1971. With the appearance of a new virulence gene in the pathogen population there are now no commercially grown cultivars which are resistant at the seedling stage to all races of the pathogen in the U.K.Keywords
