Phase stability in iron-nickel Invar alloys

Abstract
The influence of the Invar anomalies upon the stability of FCC Fe-Ni is examined. Consideration of the coherence-strain energy indicates that spinodal decomposition is favoured by the Invar anomalies.Keywords
