Abstract
A simple method for determination of total iodine in milk, based on neutron ac- tivation analysis is described. After the irradiation, iodine is separated from the milk samples by a radiochemieai procedure based on solvent extraction and precipita- tion, and 12sI activity is subsequently measured with a gamma-ray spectrometer. Precision of the method at iodine concen- trations of the order of 0.1 ppm is about 5%.Keywords
