Average resonance capture study ofTe126

Abstract
An average resonance capture study of Te126 was carried out with 2- and 24-keV neutron beams. The experiments provide a complete set of 0+, 1+, and 2+ levels and are in agreement with previous data. The completeness of these levels of Te126, along with an earlier study of Te124, permits a discussion of the structure of the Te isotopes in terms of U(5) and O(6) symmetries, and an investigation of the possible presence of intruder configurations.
