Abstract
Reactive thiol groups were measured in neurons, glial cells and neurofilaments of rat CNS [in relation to neural decomposition of foreign compounds]. Neurons displayed 27 nmol/mg protein reactive SH-groups while the figures for glia and neurofilaments were 36.5 and 44 nmol, respectively. For comparison, brain and spinal cord homogenates contained 3.2 and 6.9 nmol/mg of protein extractable free thiol residues. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
